WinAmp is OLD - but it still works and I still like it.
And I've got quite a few WinAmp playlists on my PC, which I would like to use on my Android phone or in our car.
I'm sure there are solutions to get these playlists to work on my phone, and I could stream from my phone to the car (instead of using an SD card), but that is all a bit of a hassle.
Just copying the files in the playlist to another medium (phone or SD card) would be a lot simpler.
And since doing that manually is tedious - and I'm too lazy to get it to work in a shell script or something like that - I used the Oracle database to make life easier. Overkill, I know, but why not :-)
So the package below is a very simple procedure to split an m3u(8) playlist and generate copy commands for MS-DOS - or Windows command line, if you prefer.
Very basic, but it works - and might be useful for other similar applications as well.
